A radio telephone network is proposed, the radio cells (1A) of which are subsequently divided into immediately adjoining radio microcells (1d, 2d...) with an increased traffic volume. For this purpose, at least two radio microcells (1d, 2d...) are formed within a group (FB1) of radio cells. Each radio microcell exhibits a low-power central radio station (bd1).
