PURPOSE:To enable liquid leaked from a shaft penetrated portion to be recovered with a compact construction by a mounting a box-like body surrounding a rotary shaft extending through the upper surface of a pump casing and a disk secured fixedly to the rotary shaft and having an opening directed downward on the upper surface of the pump casing. CONSTITUTION:A box-like body 21 made of iron plate or the like for surround ing a rotary shaft 3b extending through the upper surface of a pump casing 2 and a disk 7 secured fixedly to the rotary shaft is mounted on said upper surface. This box-like body 21 is provided in the bottom plate with an opening 21a so that liquid 10 leaked from a shaft penetrated portion of the casing 2 in running is spattered by the disk 7 and returned downward from the opening 1a. Thus, the liquid leaked from the shaft penetrated portion of the casing in running can be securely recovered with a compact construction.
