PURPOSE:To assemble a magnetic disk at high accuracy and to reduce the variance of a characteristic by causing a track at high density, reducing the number of parts of the magnetic head having and forming a magnetic block comprising a back gap with a slider in one body. CONSTITUTION:A pair of cores 21 and 22 are jointed, between which a recording and reproducing gap 6 is formed. Then an erasing head element part 3 having erasing gaps 13 and 14, a coil groove 17 and back gaps 6, 13 and 14 is jointed to a recording and reproducing head element part 2 whose back gap is eliminated by forming an aperture at the side opposite to a head facing surface, thereby forming a magnetic head element. A recessed part 27 is formed on the 1st core 4 through the opening 35 formed at the side opposite to the head facing surface of the recording and reproducing head element part, whereby a coil bobbin 40 is inserted into a provided leg part 42, and the magnetic head element 34 is held and fixed. At this time, the slider is constituted in a joint available from jointing a magnetic block 52, and a magnetic circuit is formed with the core of the recording and reproducing head element part 2 and the magnetic block 52.
