摘要 PURPOSE:To minimize torque fluctuation caused by stopping a mechanical supercharger in the high revolution range of an engine by disengaging a clutch mounted between an engine output shaft and the mechanical supercharger within the working range of the supercharging pressure control means for a turbo- charger. CONSTITUTION:After a waste gate valve is forcibly and fully opened by working an actuator 22 when the number of revolutions of an engine is less than 2,000r.p.m. to stop supercharging made by a turbo-charger 18, a clutch 25 is engaged to open a shutter 26. When the number of revolutions of the engine is in a range from 2,000r.p.m. to 4,500r.p.m. a mechanical supercharger is operated, and in addition the turbo-charger 18 is operated under control made by an actuator 21. When the number of revolutions of the engine is more than 4,500r.p.m. the operation of the mechanical supercharger is stopped (the clutch 25 is disengaged, and the shutter 26 is closed), and in addition the supercharging made by the turbo-charger 18 is carried out under the control made by the actuator 21.
