PURPOSE:To obtain an air-motor operating mechanism which is small-sized and is provided with high productivity and convenient for transportation, storage, installation, etc. by simplifying a switching mechanism by installing a valve pipe in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A switching mechanism for switching the working air for operating a pneumatic operating valve 21 for controlling an air motor is installed into a valve pipe 2. Said valve pipe 2 is installed in suspended state from the center upper surface in a cylinder 1, and closely fitted in a piston rod 18. The inside of said valve pipe 2 is divided into the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12, which are allowed to communicate through drilled hole parts 7 and 8. Further, check valves 15 and 16 are installed in the upper and lower chambers 11 and 12. Working air is introduced from a pilot air port 52 through the check valve 15 in the vicinity of the bottom dead center of a piston 3, and both check valves 15 and 16 are opened by a pushing rod 20 in the vicinity of the top dead center of the piston 3, and working air is discharged.
