PAPERLIKE ARTICLE SEPARATING AND CARRYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To surely prevent the nonuniform abrasion of a separating roller and the snaking motion of a paperlike article in a title device by providing means for moving the separating roller in its axial direction to change the position where a carrying roller comes into contact with the separating roller. CONSTITUTION:A carrying roller 29 has a smaller width in its axial direction so as to come into uniform contact with a paperlike article and a separating roller 49 has a larger width in its axial direction so as to have a sufficient frictional contact with the paperlike article. Therefore the feed roller 29 comes into contact with the separating roller 49 only at a part thereof and the separating roller 49 tends to be nonuniformly worn. This can be prevented by appropriately rotating an operating lever 61 by hand operation to change the position of the separating roller 49 in the axial direction, thereby varying the position where the carrying roller 29 comes into contact with the separating roller 49.
