PURPOSE:To improve a service life of a battery in a trickle use, by placing a separator of a plural compositions consisting of two or more layers of different properties between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, and housing gel containing sulfuric acid as an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Between positive electrode plate with a reactor of lead dioxide and a negative electrode plate with a reactor of lead, is placed a separator of two or more layers of different properties, such as a nonwoven fabric of plural compositions made up by laminating a layer A of a glass fiber of about 1mum diameter and a bond, and a layer B of a glass fiber of about 10mum diameter and a bond. And, as an electrolyte, a gel of silicon acid colloid containing sulfuric acid is housed to make a lead storage battery of an anode gas absorbing type. Therefore, the separator formed o f a layer of a good absorption property of sulfuric acid and a layer fitting to the surface of electrode plates, and using an electrolyte of a gel can expand the service life of the battery in a trickle use. |
