PURPOSE:To extract speedily a profile of specimen and minimize necessary amount of hardware, by installing up-down counter, starting point, profile point detecting circuit and switching circuit, etc.. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal and vertical addresses of an image memory are generated by a (j) and (i) directions, and incremented decremental counters 1, 2 and an incremental decremental command relative to these counters 1, 2 are issued out of ROM4. A calculated value is given to this ROM4 from a counter 6 and the initial value of the counter 6 is set by the ROM3. Further, inputs of the counters 1, 2 are changed from raster scan mode to searching mode by a switching circuit 7. Further, starting point, profile point detecting circuit 5 are installed, data of each image read out from the image memories are studied and when a black point image is detected for the first time, the circuit 7 is switched to the searching mode, allowing the ROM3 to produce the specified value. And, later, at every time when the black point image is detected, the ROM3 is read out for setting on the counter 6 with a lower grade bit of the counted value of the counter 6 and a profile of the specimen can be extracted speedily. |
