PURPOSE:To collect and utilize thermal energy radiating to the air in the past, by covering a solidifying chamber and annealing chamber with air jacket, and collecting effectively the radiant heat to obtain high-temperature air. CONSTITUTION:A solidifying chamber 10 and annealing chamber 12 of glass manufacturing equipment are covered with air jackets 14 and 15, and a fan 16 for passing the outside air through the air jackets 14 and 15 are additionally installed. A combustor 17 for burning a combustion gas with air heated by passing through the air jackets 14 and 15 is provided, and a boiler 18 using high-temperature gas emerging from the combustor 17 and waste gas of a glass melting furnace 1 as a heat source and a steam turbine 19 driven by the steam generated by the boiler 18 are additionally installed.
