<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has excellent discharge stability and can form clear and fine pattern on woven or nonwoven fabric, consisting of an acid dye and an aq. medium and having a specified polyvalent metal content. CONSTITUTION:0.1-15wt% acid dye (e.g. C.I. Acid Yellow 17) and optionally additives such as dispersant, surfactant, viscosity modifier, resistivity modifier, anti-foaming agent, penetrant, mildewproofing agent, pH adjustor, etc. are dissolved in an aq. medium composed of water alone or water and a hydrophilic high-boiling org. solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol). The soln. is purified by salting out, fractional precipitation or ion exchange to obtain an ink compsn. for ink jet recording, which has a viscosity of 50cP at 25 deg.C and a polyvalent metal content of 100ppm or below (excluding the quantity of a polyvalent metal in a metal-contg. dye).</p> |
