PURPOSE:To extend a life of a driving means and a rotation supporting member, and also to save an energy by rotating the driving means of a scanning mechanism at a low speed at the time of non-scanning by a beam. CONSTITUTION:A write controlling circuit 102, a timer 103, ROMs 104 (program), 105 (data table), RAMs 106 (working), 107 (nonvolatile), etc. are connected to a microprocessor 101, and also an operation display part 111, various detectors 113 (microswitch, proximity switch, etc.), and a motor, a high voltage power source, a lamp, a solenoid, etc., and a laser scan motor 312, and a semiconductor laser 344 are connected through an input/output port 110, an input port 112, and an output port 114 and a driving circuit 115, and an input/output port 117 and a motor driving circuit 118, and a printing data write controlling circuit 119 and a laser modulation circuit 120, respectively. When a scan is not executed by a laser beam from the semiconductor laser 344, a rotation of the laser scan motor 312 is set to a low speed. |
