PURPOSE:To establish a cell strain producing lymphotoxin, by transforming B lymphocyte with EB virus to give a cell strain producing lymphotoxcin, and cloning it. CONSTITUTION:B lymphocyte(derived from human or chimpanzee, producing various factors such as antibody, lymphotoxin, lymphokine, etc.) is transformed (preferably oligo-clone method) with EB virus [e.g., cell (e.g., B95-8) producing and releasing EB virus is cultivated in medium, its culture supernatant is separated, to give virus source (EB virus solution)], to give a culture cell producing lymphotoxin having growth inhibitory effect or killing effect on tumor cell. It is then cloned to give a cell strain producing lymphotoxcin. EFFECT:A high-purity lymphotoxin useful for elucidating growth inhibitory effect or killing effect on a specific tumor cell at a molecular level. |
