PURPOSE:To impart antistatic properties without seriously deteriorating characteristics inherent in synthetic resin materials, by blending an electrically conductive white inorg. compd. powder in a quantity very smaller than that of conventional metallic powder, with a synthetic resin powder (excluding fluororesins). CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive white inorg. compd. powder having a particle size of 0.2-1.0mu is mixed with a synthetic resin (excluding fluororesin) powder having a particle size of 100-500 times that of said compd. powder in such a proportion that the quantity of the inorg. compd. powder accounts for 7-15vol% of the resulting compsn. Preferred examples of the inorg. compd. powders are zinc oxide powder, stannic oxide powder and a powder obtd. by doping a titanium oxide/stannic oxide composite powder with a different metal. Pref. the inorg. compd. powder has a volume resistivity of 300OMEGA.cm or below under a pressure of 100kg/cm<2>. By using said inorg. compd. powder, an antistatic synthetic resin molding can be obtd. which can be arbitrarily colored without detriment to characteristics inherent in the synthetic resin material.
