PURPOSE:To fix a reference position regardless of the length of a substrate in case of conveying a print substrate of an electric part installing apparatus by reversing a conveyed print substrate on detecting the leading end thereof, and stopping the print substrate on detecting the trailing end thereof to position the print substrate at that stop position. CONSTITUTION:When the leading end 6e of a substrate 6a conveyed in direction of an arrow 15a is detected by a detector 7a, a control device is adapted to rotate a motor 9, so that belts 4a, 4b are driven in direction of the arrow 15a to convey the substrate 6a. Subsequently, a detector 7b detects the leading end 6e of the substrate 6a. According to the detection, a control portion is adapted to reverse the motor 9, so that the substrate 6a is conveyed in the opposite direction 25 to the arrow 15a. When the trailing end 6f of the substrate 6a is detected by a detector 20, the control device is adapted to stop the motor 9 to convey the substrate 6a to a substrate positioning portion 2. Thus, a reference hole is always positioned at a designated position to improve productivity.
