PURPOSE:To feed fuel into a fuel injection valve for a long time by interposing an intake side check valve and a discharge side check valve in a fuel feed passage and providing a free piston in a cylinder which is connected to said passage between both check valves. CONSTITUTION:An intake side check valve 21 and a discharge side check valve 22 are interposed in a fuel feed passage 17 connecting a fuel injection valve and fuel feed pump 32 of a Diesel engine. A cylinder 14 is connected to the fuel feed passage 17 between both check valves 21, 22, and a free piston 16 is provided in the cylinder 14. And, a working fluid feed pump 29 for operating the free piston is connected to the cylinder 14. Thereby, it can be prevented that the plunger of an injection pump is unable to operate due to a solid ingredient in fuel, enabling fuel to be fed into a fuel injection valve for a long time.
