PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform efficient and accurate turning by providing the end section of a shank with a throw away tip mounting base capable of rotation and providing the base with a plurality of throw away tips. CONSTITUTION:The end section of a shank 1 is provided with a rotary shaft 2 to which a mounting base 3 is fixed at right angles. The mounting base 3 is provided with a plurality of mounting seats 5 fitting in each shape of throw away tips 4. The throw away tips 4 are fixed to the mounting seats 5 with clamping screws 6. The rotation of the mounting base 3 in every turning process for a workpiece makes it possible to perform several kinds of turning with one turning tool and makes tool changes or rearrangements of tool layout in the middle of turning unnecessary improving the machining efficiency. |
