PURPOSE:To increase the success rate of retrying by performing retrying operation corresponding to a system and specifying the number of times of retrying when the system is started up. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st or the (n)th error detecting circuit 1 or 2 detects an error of each hardware set, the 1st or the (n)th error indicator 3 or 4 outputs '1' and the output of an OR gate 5 goes up to '1', thereby starting a fault processing mechanism. A clock is stopped on the start of fault processing, and the internal state of hardware is stored in an external storage device temporarily. For the purpose, temporary logging-out operation to a working storage is performed and the hardware is reset prior to the start of retrying. The maximum permissible number of times of retrying set in a storage circuit 9 for the maximum permissible number of times of retrying is set in a counter 10 for deciding the number of times of retrying to carrying out the retrying and when the retrying is successful, processing is carried on. When not, the retrying is repeated until the specific number of times. The number of times of retrying is specified when the system is started up to allow the retrying operation corresponding to the system, thereby improving the success rate of retrying. |
