PURPOSE:To shorten the waiting time and to improve the operation efficiency of the system by setting the rotating speed of the motor for driving the spindle for a constant time so as to execute the highly speedier rotation than the steady rotation, at the time of the rise of the magnetic disk device. CONSTITUTION:When a spindle start signal 11 is inputted at the time of the rise of the device, a timer circuit 300 sets the frequency of a signal 331 for driving the motor of the output of a frequency converting circuit 330 to the frequency for a constant higher than the frequency necessary to make an alternating current motor 4 for driving the spindle, outputs a frequency signal 301 which goes to be a high speedy rotation, and controls the rotating speed of the motor 4. Thus, the heating due to a wind damage in an HDA 6 is also rapidly increased, the temperature goes to be a saturated condition, the thermal position dislocation quantity is also stable and the waiting time is shortened.
