PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material easy in handling under a safelight and high in coating film strength by incorporating an isoelectric point of >=5.5 in pH and a dye in at least one of nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers. CONSTITUTION:The use of the gelatin having an isoelectric point of >=5.5 in pH for a dye contg. layer among the nonphotosensitive upper layers permits the dye to be fixed in the layer, so, the coating film strength of this layer and adhesion to the adjacent layers to be prevented. When UV rays are used for exposure, and a while lamp fixed with a UV interrupting filter is used as the safelight, dyes having a lambdamax of >=390nm, especially, in 390-590nm are desirable, and when the photosensitive material is sensitized in the IR region and the while lamp fixed with a filter for interrupting IR rays is used, it is preferred to use dyes having a lambdamax of <=750nm are desirable. |
