<p>PURPOSE:To reduce energy cost, in a dehydration apparatus for making city gas, by freezing a cooling medium by the excessive capacity of a freezer and performing the cooling of gas by utilizing the heat of fusion of the frozen cooling medium. CONSTITUTION:When the flow amount of gas is half that at a max. flow time, the cooling medium from a freezer 1 is introduced into a heat exchanger 2 to be cooled and gas is cooled by the cooled cooling medium in a gas cooler. The freezer 1 has capacity for cooling the gas to predetermined temp. when the flow amount of the gas is half. When the flow amount of the gas becomes half or less that at the max. flow time, a part of the cooling medium is bypassed to enter a water tank 4 to partially freeze water therein. When the flow amount of the gas becomes half or more that at the max. flow time, the cooling medium in the water tank is also introduced into the gas cooler to replenish cooling capacity.</p> |
