PURPOSE:To execute effectively a high-frequency induction heating treatment as a measure against stress corrosion cracking even at a point where cooling conditions are poor by executing successively a heating treatment for a piping, etc., dividedly twice for the upper side and lower side. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal piping part in the weld zone of a RPV nozzle 3 with a thermal sleeve 4 and a safe end 2 is divided to the upper side and lower side and is heated in the high-frequency induction heating treatment of the stainless steel piping 1, etc. of a boiling water reactor. The upper part where the cooling conditions are poor is first subjected to the heating treatment in the short time to the extent of preventing the boiling of the cooling water in the thermal sleeve 4 by an induction heating coil 5A. The coil 5A is then moved to the lower side and is heated by the coil 5B on said side. The lower side is risen in the temp. by receiving the influence during heating of the upper side but the cooling conditions are assured by the naturals convection of the cooling water itself.
