PURPOSE:To form a uniform coating layer by minimizing the thickness difference of a drum coating layer after coating, by making a rising speed at the beginning faster than that in the other region at the time of the coating of a drum. CONSTITUTION:In coating work for applying a coating solution to the outer peripheral surface of a drum 1, the stepping motor provided to a driver for controlling an AC servo motor is controlled to set the rising speed, of the drum 1, so that an initial speed is, for example, 6.0mm/sec and decelerated at equal acceleration to set a final speed to 4.5mm/sec, in the region L1 of 100mm from the end surface of the drum 1. Thereafter, if the drum 1 is raised at a constant speed of 4.5mm/sec, the coating speed in the end part region L1 is faster than that of the other region L2 and, therefore, the coating thickness of the coating solution in the end part region L1 becomes thicker. Therefore, if the coating solution in successively dripped from above to below, a necessary uniform amount of the coating solution is applied in the entire region of the outer peripheral surface of the drum 1. |
