PURPOSE:To closely put a sheet material onto the surface of a drum, by providing a moisturizing means which moisturizes either the sheet material or drum surface before the leading edge of the sheet material is held by a holding means in addition to the holding means and, at the same time, forming the drum by using a surface, to which mirror-surface treatment is performed. CONSTITUTION:A moisturizing means 51 which moisturizes a photosensitive body 2 is provided below feeding rollers 4a and 4b and the moisturizing liquid 49 in the tray 50 of the means 51 is supplied to and moisturizes the backside of the photosensitive body 2 by means of the lower side roller 48 acting as a moisturizing roller. It can be said that the moisturizing means works well when the section between a drum 1 and the photosensitive body 2 is moisturized when the body 2 is contacted with the drum 1. It is desirable to make the surface of the drum as smooth as possible, but, usually, the surface roughness obtained when electrolytic plating is performed is sufficient. An adsorbing and holding means 57 which adsorbs the leading edge section 2a of the photosensitive body 2 is provided on the drum 1 and an adsorbing hole 53 is directly communicated with a vacuum pump 56 through a duct provided in a dram shaft 19 and pressure sensor 55 is provided outside the drum 1. |
