PURPOSE:To enable a toner to be fixed at a sufficiently lower temp. with a small consumption of energy by using as the binder resin of a toner a polyester resin having a weight average mol.wt. to number average mol.wt. ratio (Mw/Mn) of >=4.0. CONSTITUTION:The polyester resin used for the toner binder is a nonlinear low-m.p. aromatic polyester having a weight average mol.wt. to number average mol.wt. ratio (Mw/Mn) of >=4.0, preferably, 4-50, is obtained by reacting <=40mol% trivalent and/or higher polyol, <=30mol% alkyl-substd. dicarboxylic acid and/or alkyl-substd. diol, and >=60mol% phthalic acid type dicarboxylic acid and etherified diphenols. |
