SLOPE CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR ROAD SHOULDER

PURPOSE:To shorten the period of operations by a method in which a fixing pile is driven through the pile hole of a side block into the ground, and the suspension beams of the side block are extended to one corner of brim blocks and connected to anchor beams. CONSTITUTION:Plural brim blocks 3 are set in parallel on the side of a paved portion 1, and side blocks 4 are set in parallel on the outside of the brim blocks 3. The suspension beams 7 of the side blocks 4 are connected to a hook-shaped anchor beams 6 extended to one corner of the brim blocks 3. Fixing piles 8 are driven through the pile holes of the side blocks 4 into the ground. Cement mortar 9 is then packed into the joints of the blocks 3 and 4 and the aperture between the pile holes 5 and the fixing piles 8 for sealing up.
