The subject of the present invention is a hydro-elastic and/or laminated fender, of the type comprising shock-absorbing devices including an elastic element, particularly made of elastomer, which deforms under the effect of shocks, which fender is characterised in that each shock-absorbing device 12 has a first internal sealed chamber 10 filled with liquid 23, the volume of which is variable under the effect of the deformation of the elastic element 13 of the shock-absorbing device and which communicates with a second sealed chamber 18 via at least one passage 25, for liquid, arranged in a partition 17 separating these two chambers and enabling the impact energy due to the said shocks to be dissipated by throttling of the liquid contained in the first chamber, which second chamber is intended to store the quantity of liquid which, by throttling, travels from the first chamber through the said passage, it being possible for the said elastic element to be laminated, that is to say, to comprise at least one metal reinforcing member.
