PURPOSE:To provide a stable dental adhesive capable of bonding with tooth firmly under the wet condition in the oral cavity, and composed mainly of a (meth)acrylate monomer and a polymerizing and curing agent consisting of a sulfinic acid salt, an amine, and an organic acid, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective dental adhesive exhibiting excellent adhesivity to the tooth without necessitating the etching of the tooth with an acid, and storable for a long period without causing discoloration and gelation, is composed mainly of (A) a (meth)acrylate monomer and (B) a polymerizing and curing agent consisting of (a) a sulfinic acid salt, especially an arylsulfinic acid salt, e.g. alkali matal salt of benzenesulfinic acid, etc., (b) an amine, especially a secondary or tertiary amine bonded to an aryl group, e.g. N-alkylaniline, N,N'-dialkyl-p-toluidine, etc., and (c) an organic acid or an acidic inorganic acid ester, especially an aliphatic carboxylic acid, aromatic sulfonic acid, or ester of acidic phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid.
