PURPOSE:To enhance heat resistance of a film and to obtain image characteristics at the time of repeated uses by using a plastic film made of a specified resin for contrography, and forming a specified electrostatic latent image forming layer. CONSTITUTION:The insulating recording film is composed of a laminate of the plastic film having a thickness of 5-50mum made of a polymer having imino groups in the molecular chains, and the electrostatic latent image forming layer, formed on this film, composed of an insulating polymer binder and a spacer contg. at least one of an inorg. filler having a Mohs' hardness of >=7 and this laminate is inserted between a recording electrode and a toner developing machine to form a electrostatic recording system, so-called contrography, thus permitting the plastic film to be improved in mechanical strength and heat resistance, the electrostatic latent image forming layer to be high in resistances to corona and abrasion, and the toner image forming surface to be good in resistances to corona, toner filming, and abrasion, and also good in cleanability, and accordingly, this insulating recording film to be superior in electrostatic charge retentivity and stabilized in image characteristics even at the time of repeated uses. |
