ENDLESS TRACK TYPE CONTINUOUS CASTING INSTALLATION

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the abnormal growth of a solidified shell near the top end face of a nozzle in an endless track type continuous casting installation by providing an oscillation device which oscillates back and forth the nozzle in the horizontal moving direction of casting blocks at the nozzle insertion part. CONSTITUTION:Two units of casting mold loops 2 formed by connecting plural casting blocks 1 are driven by driving devices 6 and a horizontal casting mold flask is formed between the blocks 1 and 1 formed of the loops 2. A molten metal 4 is poured from the nozzle 3 into the casting mold flask while a carriage 9 for carrying a tundish 8 is oscillated back and forth in the horizontal moving direction of the blocks 1 at the insertion part of the nozzle 3. The prevention of the abnormal growth of the solidified shell near the top end of the nozzle is thus made possible and the casting product having uniform quality is obtd.
