The subject of the invention is a method and devices for recording the change in a physical quantity in a closed vessel. A device according to the invention is intended to record the change in a physical quantity, for example the temperature, in a closed vessel, for example in a bottled pasteurised liquid. The device includes a small case 2 which is closed in a leaktight manner by a cap 3 and includes a sensor 4 which delivers an analog signal proportional to the quantity to be recorded. The device includes furthermore an analog-to-digital converter which converts the signal into digital values, a random access memory which records the digital values, a small battery which powers the circuits, a dialogue instrument which converts the digital values into pulse trains and a connector. One application is the checking of pasteurised liquids in a packaging line. <IMAGE>
