The present invention relates to a soil-working machine equipped with a roller 2. The roller 2 comprises a central core 24, onto which are slipped alternately rings 296 and deformable casings 30 which are pressed against one another, the distance between the various rings 296 being determined by spacers 841. According to the invention, the spacers 841 are held in place, irrespective of the presence of the deformable casings 30, by connection means 93, 94; 931, 941.
