The subject of the invention is a method for unblocking a vehicle immobilised in a pipeline and a self-fragmentable vehicle. A vehicle 1 according to the invention comprises a body 3 which is composed of a breakable material, for example syntactic foam, in which is embedded a detonating cord 8 wound helically around a central activity 4. A detonator 9 is placed in contact with one end of the cord 8. The ignition of the detonator is controlled either by a clock within the vehicle or by integrated electronics. One use is the construction of scrapers, probes, measuring devices, plugs for separating two fluids and generally any vehicle intended for travelling in a pipeline. <IMAGE>
