<p>PURPOSE:To widely open a recording paper carrying passage by one time operation and to easily perform its maintenance, such as jammed paper inspection, exchange of press rollers, etc., by arranging a medium carrying means, transfer means, and press roller of a heat roller type fixing device on a frame and providing a moving means which moves upward and downward the frame with respect to a latent image forming means. CONSTITUTION:When an operation lever 180 is turned clockwise around a shaft 181, the gear 180a of the lever 180 is engaged with the gear 182 of a supporting lever 183 and the lever 183 is turned counterclockwise around the shaft of the gear 182, and then, the guide roller 184 of the lever 183 is contained in the containing guide 185a of a supporting block 185 and stopped. Since an upward and downward movement guide 87 is engaged with the guide roller 184, the guide 87 rotates around a hinge 81 by its own weight and a frame 80 descends. The press roller 90 of a fixing device also descends together with the frame 80 and is separated from a heat roller 91. As a result, a recording paper carrying passage is widely opened and inspection of jammed paper and exchange of the press roller 90 become easier.</p> |
