<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a deformed can of elliptic body, by drawing the shoulder part and the vicinity of bottom of a bottomed, cylindrical metallic can whose vicinity of opening is provided with necking and curling and pressing its body in the radial direction while supporting the opening and the vicinity of bottom in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The vicinity 7 of the opening 2 of a cylindrical metallic can 1 having a bottom provided with impact extrusion A, is provided with necking B by jigs 3, 4 and is further provided with curling C, to form the opening 2 into a circular shape of high strength. Further, its shoulder part 5 and the vicinity of its bottom are drawn D1, D2 into a tapered prescribed shape to enhance the rigidities of them. Next, its body 6 is pressed Q (E) in the radial direction by jigs into a prescribed elliptic shape, by supporting the shoulder part 5 and the vicinity of bottom while preventing them from elongating in the axial direction. Thus, a metallic can excellent in design and practical use is obtained by providing easily a comaratively large deformation to the can.</p> |
