The invention relates to a device for manufacturing compacted elements from a pulverulent or pasty mixture. This device comprises a plate 1 supporting at least one mould 3 into which a fraction of the mixture is introduced, interacting with a unitary or multiple metering means 4, a compression means 8 and an ejection means 11. The plate 1 is arranged horizontally and interacts by means of successive rotations of the order of 90 DEG with the metering means, compression means and ejection means. Moreover, it interacts with an intermediate cleaning means 16 between the ejection means and the metering means and with a packaging means 17, 18, 19 for the compacted elements.
