PURPOSE:To simplify a device and to reduce its size by constituting the titled device with a means for extracting an originating number to call a terminating data terminal from a MODEM interface serial bit data in a multiplex communication control device and a means for monitoring collision of originating and terminating signals and a means for monitoring the answer of the terminating data terminal. CONSTITUTION:When a call is sent from the multiplex communication control device 130, a serial-parallel conversion circuit 147 extracts only a destination dial number out of a transmission data signal from a connection line 142 and cancels ten specific start stop synchronizing characters arranged before and after the destination dial number in five portions. The serial destination dial inputted to the circuit 147 is converted into a parallel destination dial and inputted to a calling circuit 143. Terminating from a line 141 is detected by a ring tone (16Hz) signal a called display signal of the connection line 142 is turned on through a MODEM150 and a terminating circuit 144 informs the presence of terminated signal to the circuit 147 through an originating- terminating signal collision detecting circuit 145.
