PURPOSE:To obtain a device for executing the recording and reproduction of a reverse direction, by constituting it so that an even track of tracks can execute the recording and reproduction of the reverse direction and a forward direction, and an odd track can execute the recording and reproduction of only the forward direction. CONSTITUTION:As for a servo-processing system 15 of the time of recording, a frequency divider, etc. in the servo-processing system 15 are switched so as to conform with a recording condition by control signals (a reverse/forward control signal RREC, an SP/LP mode control signal SREC, etc.) of a controller 14. At the time of recording to an odd track, a capstan motor 8 is rotated forward, and at the time of recording to an even track, the capstan motor 8 is rotated backward. Also, since the device is in an LP mode, a revolving speed of the capstan motor 8 is controlled so that a tape speed becomes 1/2. In this case, the revolving speed of the capstan motor 8 is controlled by comparing the phases of a signal obtained from an FG13 attached to the capstan motor 8 and a revolving speed detecting head 49, and a reference signal in the servo- processing system 15. |
