A direction-reversing valve has a valve body (4) which has a valve chamber (5) in which a valve cone (6) is provided with a closing part (6b) and with supporting rods (6a) arranged at opposite ends of the closing part (6b) in order to reverse the fluid flow by displacement of the valve cone (6). A pair of seals (7) with a cross-section which is greater in the radial direction than in the axial direction is mounted in each case on the outer circumference of the supporting rods (6a) in order to seal off the valve chamber (5). A pair of guide rings (10) composed of synthetic resin is held on the supporting rods (6a) between the seals (7) allowing the guide rings (10) to slide along the cylindrical guiding walls (8) of the valve chamber (5). <IMAGE>
