PURPOSE:To input an area on an original accurately and to decrease the number of times of operator's key-in operation by inputting the area on the original at a copy position as it is. CONSTITUTION:For example, the 1st gradation is made to correspond to image erasure in the specified area and the 2nd gradation is made to correspond to image erasure outside the specified area (extraction of the image in the specified area), thus making gradations of a scale correspond to processing indication contents. Then, the scale (or original) is driven in an X direction to the original (or scale) and stopped at an X-directional desired position to input the numeral of the 1st gradation of the scale which corresponds to the desired position, thereby inputting coordinate values (Xf, Yf) of one corner of the area to be specified. Then, the scale (original) is driven in the X direction and stopped at a desired position to input the numeral of the 1st gradation of the scale which corresponds to the desired position, thereby inputting coordinate values (Xl, Yl) of the diagonal corner of the area to be specified. Thus, the erasure of the image in the area having the diagonal points at (Xf, Yf) and (Xl, Yl) is set automatically. |
