The strap for securing cases has a buckle 3 which forms a rectangular, isosceles and open triangle, to whose one side web the beginning 4 of the strap is attached and whose other limb web 7 serves for the releasable and adjustable attachment of the end 5 of the strap. The base web 8 running at an angle of 45 DEG to the two limb webs deflects the strap 2 through 90 DEG so that a "parcelling" is possible with one strap, in which the strap runs in the direction of the two axes of the case and the two strap sections running perpendicular to one another are simultaneously secured against displacement relative to the case. <IMAGE>
