PURPOSE:To prevent troubles such as the scattering and spouting of toner from a housing opening and its caking at the edge part of a blade by shielding a toner storage tank unless devices for maintenance, inspection, etc., are in operation. CONSTITUTION:Remaining toner on a photosensitive body 1 is scraped off by a cleaning blade to fall between 'Mylar(R)' 29 and a magnet roller 30. This falling magnetic toner is attracted by the magnet roller 30, conveyed from a toner recovery tank 26 to the toner storage tank 27 through the rotation of the roller 30, and scraped off the magnet roller 30 by a scraper blade 32. When copying operation is thus completed and the magnet roller stops 30, no toner is present in the toner recovery tank 26 and the toner scraped by the cleaning blade is all conveyed to the toner recovery tank 27. |
