PURPOSE:To make foreign substances separate by thermselves from the tube cleaning element and flow with the fluid by providing cutting edges in the passage in which a tube cleaning element moves and cutting filament-like foreign substances attaching to the tube cleaning element. CONSTITUTION:A large numb er of cutting edge are fixed on the inside face which communicates with the tube 3 in a tube housing 5. Each cutting edge 10 is pressed into the housing 5 from its end, but other suitable mounting methods can be adopted. The cutting edge 10 is like a knife edge or of plate shape. It is preferable to have its edge inclined at both front and rear sections so that filament-like foreign substances 8 can be cut as the brush reciprocates. The cutting edge 10, therefore, cuts thread-like foreign substances 8 entangled on the brush as it makes reciprocating medium. Cut foreign substances leave the brush and are excluded by the flow of the liquid from the tube 3 through the water chamber. |
