PURPOSE:To execute a connected photographing whose joint does not go out of order, by reproducing a pulse signal picked up by a cue head, by a pulse reproducing means, in accordance with a fact that a magnetic tape gas been brought to a running control in the forward direction, at the time point when a temporary stop has been released. CONSTITUTION:When a reverse transfer quantity setting timer of a magnetic tape 7 has passed a prescribed time, a microcomputer 17 applies a command signal for stopping a rotation of motors 19, 20, to a servo-circuit 18, and the servo-circuit 18 stops the rotation in the opposite direction of the motors 19, 20. Also, at the time point when the magnetic tape 7 has been transferred by a prescribed quantity in the opposite direction, the transfer of the magnetic tape 7 stops temporarily, and it becomes a video recording standby state. Subsequently, when a temporary stop signal 27 is inputted again and the temporary standby state is released, the microcomputer 17 applies a command signal for rotating the motors 19, 20 in the forward direction, to the servo-circuit 18, and the servo-circuit 18 rotates the motors 19, 20 in the forward direction, and transfers the magnetic tape 7 in the forward direction. In this case, a video signal use magnetic head 21 picks up a pilot signal superposed with a video signal and recorded on the magnetic tape 7 and applies it to an amplifier 22.
