PURPOSE:To confirm the position of a target vehicle momentarily or when necessary through a terminal equipment, etc. by combining the radio intervention of a question unit and the automatic answers of an answer unit. CONSTITUTION:An identification controller C of a data processing part 9 of a question unit stores the question signals temporarily in an internal memory and then supplies them to a call command part 10 when necessary. The part 10 converts the question signals into microwave band carrier signals and supplies them to a transmission part 11. The part 11 amplifies those carrier signals up to a proper level of transmission power and radiates them into the air via an antenna 12. These transmitted signals are received by an antenna 1 of an answer unit and supplied to a question signal selector 3 after detecting by a reception part 2. The selector 3 compares the input question signals successively with its own code signals stored previously. Then the selector 3 transmits the coincidence signal to a data processing part 4 when the coincidence is obtained from said comparison.
