PURPOSE:To improve the preservation ability of a battery by adding cupric sulfide and cuporous oxide into a positive electrode including cupric oxide as activating material. CONSTITUTION:A lithium negative electrode 2 is arranged against a positive electrode 1 having cupric oxide as an activating material, also cupric sulfide and cuporous oxide added thereto. therefore, the resolution of the cupric oxide is restricted, and one part of the cupric sulfide is resolved to generate and separate sulphur as a film on the surface of the negative electrode, so that the separation of copper on the surface of the negative electrode can be restricted. Further, the added cuporous oxide reacts with residual moisture in a battery or moisture entering from the outside of the battery, and the reaction of the moisture to the lithium negative electrode is restricted. |
