In order to immerse printed circuit boards in electrochemical baths or the like, the boards are fixed on a supporting framework in a defined orientation. In order to facilitate automatic loading and unloading in a simple manner, centring parts which interact with the printed circuit boards are arranged such that they have guide surfaces which run exclusively essentially at right angles to the surface of the printed circuit boards, the clamping brackets, which are provided for fixing the printed circuit boards at the edge of the same and press the printed circuit boards against retaining brackets by pivoting, are located in the open position of the clamping arrangements - seen in the guidance direction of the centring parts provided by the alignment of the guide surfaces - outside the printed circuit boards, which also makes it possible to use, in a simple manner, industrial robots or the like for feeding the device with printed circuit boards.
