PURPOSE:To correct the distortions of digital pictures with high accuracy by using a division polynomial function to give approximation to the approximate accuracy of distortions. CONSTITUTION:The uncorrected point coordinates corresponding to the lattice points on a corrected picture are calculated by a corresponding point calculation means 12 from the track data 10 and the posture data 11. Then the distortion correction coefficient is calculated by a distortion correction coefficient producing means 13 and stored in a file 14. The distortion correction coefficient is defined as bij to show the coordinates corresponding to the points (X, Y) within each lattice. An uncorrected picture 15 receives its lateral correction from a lateral correction means 16. Then the result of correction is stored in an intermediate picture buffer 17, and a corrected picture 19 is obtained by a lateral distortion correction means 18. |
