PURPOSE:To enable automatic division of the suitability about the bending of a printed circuit board without depending on visual inspection or the like, by providing a detecting section for the bending of the printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION:When a printed circuit board 2a is carried into an apparatus from a printed circuit board carry-in section 3, a displacement detection sensor 13 detects the deviation DELTAt1 or DELTAt2 in the height of the center 12 of a mounting base 11 of the printed circuit board 2. The position range is predetermined so as to allow the normal mounting of electronic components 1 on the printed circuit board 2a with a mounting head 5 to be compared with the detected deviation DELTAt1 or DELTAt2. As a result, when the deviation DELTAt1 and DELTAt2 exceeds the allowable value, the bending of the board 2a is determined to be too large for normal mounting and the mounting of electronic component 1 on the board 2a fails. For example, the board 2a is distinguished as defective via a board driving section 6 and a printed circuit board carry-out section 7 and carried out of the equipment. This eliminates visual inspection thereby enabling the automation of an electronic component parts mounting process.
