PURPOSE:To decrease the number of cables by using a serial optical fiber to connect a master central processor to the slave central processors which are attached to a device to be controlled and perform the feedback control and the sequence control. CONSTITUTION:A master central processor 11 of a controller 10a works on a program stored in a memory 12 and sends the control data to an optical fiber cable 30 via a directory memory access device DAM31, a parallel/serial converter SIO32 and a light/electricity converter 33. For a device 20a to be controlled, the data received through the cable 30 are given to the slave central processors 14 and 17 via the converter 33 and the SIO32. The processors 14 and 17 perform the sequence control and the feedback control with control subjects 21-24.
