A cooking hob has in its ceramic cooker plate at least one heated cooking plate section. In order to make possible, in relation to conventional ceramic cooking hobs, an improved structural and optical shape, the cooker plate consists of a ceramic support plate 2 with at least one opening 3, into which a ceramic cooking plate 1 is inserted. To compensate thermal expansion, a gap is left on the one hand between the edges of the cooking plate 1 and the opening 3, which is filled with an elastic adhesive or filling compound 6.
